Publication Ethics Statement

The JAMMP is committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity and ethical publishing practices. All published content must adhere to rigorous ethical guidelines to ensure academic credibility, transparency, and reliability in research dissemination.

The journal enforces a strict competing interest policy, requiring authors to disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence their research outcomes. This commitment to transparency safeguards the objectivity and credibility of published work.

All submissions must comply with international, national, and institutional standards for research reporting. Authors must ensure adherence to ethical principles, including obtaining informed consent where applicable.

As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE),the journal subscribes to COPE's principles for addressing research misconduct. Any allegations of misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism, will be thoroughly investigated to uphold research integrity.

The journal employs plagiarism detection software to screen submitted manuscripts to maintain academic originality. In cases where plagiarism is identified, the journal will follow COPE guidelines to take appropriate action, which may include manuscript rejection or retraction.

Enforcing these ethical and disclosure policies JAMMP ensures the credibility and integrity of scholarly contributions to the global research community.

The following are descriptions of Ethical Standards for Authors, Reviewers, Editors and publishers.

1. Authors▾

   Authors submitting to the JAMMP must adhere to the highest ethical standards to ensure research integrity and transparency. The following ethical guidelines outline the authors' responsibilities:

   1. Originality and Plagiarism
      • Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published previously in any form or language, either in part or in full.
      • Proper acknowledgement and citation of prior work must be provided. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism (text recycling), is strictly prohibited.
      • Verbatim copying, summarizing, or paraphrasing of others' work without proper attribution is not permitted.
   2. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions
      • Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously.
      • A single study should not be fragmented into multiple smaller publications ("salami slicing") to increase the number of submissions.
      • Secondary publication may be permitted under specific conditions, such as translations or reaching a different audience, provided full transparency is maintained.
   3. Data Integrity and Research Reporting
      • Research findings must be presented clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation, including image-based modifications.
      • Authors must adhere to discipline-specific standards for data acquisition, selection, and processing.
      • If requested, authors should be able to provide raw data, records, or samples to verify their research. Sensitive or proprietary data should be excluded from disclosure.
   4. Authorship and Contribution Transparency
      • All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.
      • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript.
      • Changes to authorship (adding or removing authors) during revision stages must be justified and approved by the editorial team. Changes are not permitted after manuscript acceptance.
   5. Acknowledgment of Sources and Conflicts of Interest
      • Proper credit must be given to all referenced work, including closely copied, summarized, or paraphrased material.
      • Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
   6. Ethical Considerations in Research Involving Humans or Animals
      • Studies involving human participants, biological materials, or animal subjects must comply with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations.
      • Informed consent must be obtained where applicable, and appropriate ethical approvals should be documented.
   7. Use of Third-Party Materials
      • Authors must ensure they have the necessary permissions to use copyrighted materials, including software, survey instruments, scales, or other third-party content.
   8. Responsible Citation Practices
      • Authors must cite relevant literature to support their claims. Excessive self-citation or coordinated citation manipulation among authors is discouraged.
      • References should be selected based on scholarly relevance, not to artificially boost citation metrics.
   9. Avoidance of Misleading or Harmful Research
      • Authors must refrain from making unverified claims about individuals, organizations, or companies that could be considered defamatory or misleading.
      • Research that poses potential risks to public health or national security (e.g., bioterrorism, misuse of technology) must be explicitly identified in the manuscript.
   10. Corrections and Retractions
       • Authors have an obligation to correct any significant errors discovered after publication.
       • Depending on the nature of the error, the journal may issue a correction, an editorial expression of concern, or, in severe cases, a retraction.
       • Retractions will be marked clearly with an explanation for transparency.
   11. Handling of Misconduct Allegations
       • The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for investigating allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism, data manipulation, and unethical research practices.
       • If misconduct is confirmed, actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction, notification of the author's institution, or a formal notice of ethical transgression in the article's bibliographic record.
2. Reviewers▾

   Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, quality, and credibility of the peer-review process.The following ethical guidelines outline the responsibilities of reviewers:

   1. Confidentiality and Integrity
      • Reviewers must evaluate submitted manuscripts in a strictly confidential manner.
      • Manuscripts should not be shared, discussed, or disclosed to anyone without explicit permission from the editor.
   2. Conflict of Interest
      • Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest before agreeing to review a submission.
      • If a reviewer has a personal, professional, or financial connection with the authors or institutions involved, they must decline the review.
   3. Competency and Timeliness
      • Reviewers who feel unqualified to assess a manuscript's content should inform the editor immediately and decline the review.
      • If a reviewer is unable to meet the deadline, they should notify the editor as soon as possible to avoid delays in the review process.
   4. Evaluation of Originality and Ethical Conduct
      • Reviewers must assess the originality of a submission and report any concerns regarding plagiarism, redundant publication, or data falsification.
      • If a reviewer suspects ethical misconduct, they must notify the editor promptly.
   5. Objectivity and Constructive Feedback
      • Reviewers must provide fair, unbiased, and professional evaluations of the manuscript.
      • Personal criticism of authors is not acceptable; feedback should be constructive and focused on improving the quality of the research.
   6. Adherence to Review Guidelines
      • Reviewers should follow the journal's review guidelines and adhere to deadlines to ensure a smooth peer-review process.
      • Any deviation from the assigned review scope should be communicated with the editor.
   7. No Unauthorized Use of Unpublished Data
      • Reviewers must not use, reproduce, or incorporate any part of the data, ideas, or findings from an unpublished manuscript in their own research.
3. Editors ▾

   Editors are responsible for overseeing the manuscript submission, review, and decision-making process while ensuring the integrity and fairness of the publication process. The following ethical guidelines outline the responsibilities of editors:

   1. Manuscript Management and Decision-Making
      • Editors must manage submitted manuscripts efficiently until a final decision is made on publication.
      • The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is based on the recommendations of reviewers and editorial board members.
      • The Editor-in-Chief may seek advice from other editors or reviewers when making final decisions.
   2. Fair and Timely Peer-Review Process
      • The Editor-in-Chief must acknowledge receipt of submitted manuscripts and ensure a smooth, fair, and timely review process.
      • Editors must select appropriate reviewers with relevant expertise in the manuscript's subject area.
   3. Confidentiality and Data Protection
      • Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are processed in a confidential manner.
      • Manuscript content should not be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, assigned reviewers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
   4. Conflict of Interest Management
      • Editors must recuse themselves from handling a manuscript if they have any conflict of interest with any of the authors, institutions, or funding sources related to the manuscript.
   5. Editorial Independence and Integrity
      • Editors have the authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on their significance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.
      • Editorial decisions should be made solely on scholarly merit without any external influence.
   6. Prohibition of Unauthorized Use of Unpublished Work
      • Editors must not use any part of the data, ideas, or findings from an unpublished manuscript for their own research or personal advantage.
   7. Ethical Issue Resolution
      • Editors must promptly respond to ethical concerns related to submitted or published manuscripts.
      • In cases of ethical complaints, editors must consult with the authors and take appropriate corrective measures, including retraction or correction if necessary.
4. Publishers ▾

   The publisher plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and ethical standards of the journal's publication process. The following ethical guidelines outline the responsibilities of the publisher:

   1. Adherence to Best Publishing Practices
      • Ensures that journal editors, editorial board members, authors, reviewers, and other stakeholders follow ethical publishing policies and procedures.
      • Promotes best practices in scholarly publishing and maintains high academic standards.
   2. Facilitation of Academic Communication
      • Strives to enhance the efficiency of academic communication and journal governance.
      • Supports indexing and dissemination of published articles to ensure broader accessibility.
   3. Editorial and Production Oversight
      • Ensures the editorial team meets production schedules and completes work within the designated timeframe.
      • Verifies publication rights and licensing agreements before articles are published.
   4. Collaboration on Ethical Issues
      • Works closely with the Editor-in-Chief to address any errors, ethical concerns, or potential scientific misconduct in published articles.
      • Detects and prevents the publication of articles involving fraudulent research or plagiarism.
   5. Commitment to Research Integrity
      • Publisher and Editor-in-Chief jointly uphold ethical standards and ensure that research misconduct is neither promoted nor enabled.
      • Investigates any allegations of publishing malpractice and takes corrective action when necessary.
   6. Non-Discrimination and Inclusivity
      • The publisher and journal uphold a strict non-discrimination policy, ensuring equal opportunities regardless of age, colour, faith, ethnicity, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, race, gender, genetic predisposition, or sexual orientation.
